Ruth's Birthday

I thought I had lost the photos of this splendid occasion, but they turned up. Off to Amstelveen with Emz and Mama to celebrate Ruth's birthday. After fixing up her birthday present ( a wireless network!) and the usual cake and coffee, we all went off to the park with vast quantities of food and drink. Amongst all the skyscrapers and building sites around the University is a beautiful park with little rivers and grassy hills. A lazy, sunny day lying on the grass watching ducks, frisbees and roller-skaters and mostly falling asleep in the sun and waking up now and again to enjoy the picnic. And no flies or crawly things at all.
