Storm

The Dutch have a saying. They like to go onto the beach to "uitwaaien", or wave yourself about in the wind. Something like blowing away the cobwebs. The beaches are full when it is hot, deserted when it is not hot, but full again when there is a mighty wind. What they seem to like best is a real sandstorm, so that they can walk at forty five degrees into the wind while the sand stings their eyes and penetrates their necks. Because when it is time to go back, the wind is pushing you along and the sand is no longer cutting your face to pieces.

Heavenly, just like banging your head against a wall to feel so good when you stop.

Big waves out there

More big waves, for want of something more interesting to say

For this picture I lay on wet, very cold sand. I hope you all appreciate my sacrifice

Isn't this fun! Shall we just do another kilometer or two?
